I am a British artist of Nigerian heritage, trained at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (The Nsukka School), and active in London’s art scene since the late 1980s.
My work combines vibrant colour, rich texture and impasto, drawing on naratives rooted in my African heritage and shaped by my philosophical and spiritual interests.
Throughout my career, I have worked across a range of mediums, including oil, acrylic, pastel and watercolou, developing distinctive figurative and abstract styles. Selected works from the past decades are available to view on this website.
I have exhibited widely in Nigeria, France, Germany and the UK, and my paintings are held in collections across Europe, North America and Africa. I am also co-founder and Vice President of the Nigeria Art Society UK (NASUK), a network of leading artists of Nigerian heritage in the diaspora.
